Bon Voyage: Take guests on a North State vacation

Like many families, I saw more of my home town's holiday displays and attended more events when we had holiday visitors than I ever did when we had no guests. We'd cram everyone into the station wagon and show off the best lights, attend the best holiday concerts and visit the best events, all ostensibly to show off our city and to give visitors a brag-worthy holiday.
